Anything that can go wrong went wrong for the Montwood Rams, last week, against the
Midland Lee Rebels. The Rebels defense held Montwoods star RB to 66 rushing yards.
The Rams OL simply could not create small cracks for Tim to do his thing! Now there's
no question this debacle will raise a 'roar' that the Basin teams will begin their dominance
on EP teams as in Pre-2004. We must not ignore that we're in Pre-District Play. Also do
not ignore that in the past 2 seasons Midland Lee has been eliminated by EP teams in
the Texas State Playoffs where it matters way more than Pre-District Play! This week the
Rams go up against another quality opponent in Pre-District Play, the Mayfield Trojans.

The Del Valle Conquistadores invaded the
SISD Student Complex and we must say
there was absolutely nothing the Bulldogs
of Socorro High could have done to stop
this gridiron attack. The Conquistadores
displayed lots of speed on offense and
plenty of size on defense. It was a total
mis-match! Next up for the Conquistadores
of Del Valle High are the Midland High
Bulldogs. Yes, Bulldogs once again Fans! |
The Franklin Cougars went into their battle
against the Onate Knights fired up and
ready to start this new gridiron season with
a bang and that they did! Cougars rolled
quite easily over the Knights 49-2. This
victory is just what the Cougars needed.
Up next for the Cougars is San Angelo.
If the Cougars do to San Angelo what
they did to the Knights there's no telling
just how great this Cougar team really is. |
